March Madness Munchies and Tailgating Recipes

With winter almost over and spring on its way, March can sometimes feel a little dreary. But, then we remember it's March Madness Month! I love to watch college basketball, especially when the Michigan State Spartans are doing well. I always fill out my bracket (one bracket...not multiple...don't be one of those people that fill out 5 brackets) and then closely follow the games. And one of my favorite part of watching the games is the food. I love to come up with new March Madness Munchies. I have a few of my favorite below.

Two years ago during March Madness I had the opportunity to work as an extra on the film, The End of the Tour with Jason Segel and Jesse Eisenberg, but there were some really good games on that night. I had to make a decision, work on the film or go to a viewing party to watch the games. When you work as an extra in a film you never know how long you'll be on set, it just depends on how quickly they are able to shoot each scene. And we were shooting in an airport so we had to work around flights coming in and going out. Well, I decided to take the job and work on the film. I brought along my phone and iPad knowing that I would have a lot of down time in between scenes and I would try to keep updated on all of the scores. I even brought a print out of my bracket. Little did I know that we would be on set for over 18 hours straight, it was a long night. My call time was 1pm and we didn't wrap filming until 8am the next morning. But, it actually turned out to be one of the most memorable March Madness viewing nights for me because they brought in a large screen TV and we all watched the games in the airplane hanger in between takes. It was a fun night.
